Privacy Policy
Effective: August 28, 2026 | Last updated: August 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Cut Time, LLC, doing business as SimpleRaise ("SimpleRaise," "we," or "us") handles information about people who use or interact with the service.
1. Scope
This Policy explains information handled through SimpleRaise websites, applications, fundraiser pages, checkouts, support, and integrations. Customer organizations and vendors may have their own privacy duties. SimpleRaise currently serves U.S.-based organizations and vendors, although supporters may be elsewhere.
2. Information we collect
We may collect account and identity details; organization, vendor, tax, and payout information; participant or student names and contact details; fundraiser, roster, group, goal, image, video, and content data; participant fundraising goals, amounts attributed to participants, program balances, and allocation instructions supplied or directed by customer organizations; supporter, order, donation, ticket, shipping, refund, dispute, and transaction details; messages and support requests; device, browser, IP, cookie, log, and usage data; and information received from Stripe, CutTime, service providers, or authorized organizations.
Payment-card details are generally collected and processed by Stripe rather than stored directly by SimpleRaise. Organizations may add participants manually, by CSV, or through an authorized CutTime integration.
Participant goals, attributed amounts, balances, and allocation instructions reflect the customer organization’s records and directions. They do not establish that a participant owns, is entitled to, or may lawfully receive any particular funds.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide accounts, fundraisers, checkout, payments, payouts, fulfillment routing, tickets, receipts, invitations, verification, notifications, reporting, reconciliation and administrative tools, product-use help, support, fraud prevention, security, analytics, troubleshooting, legal compliance, tax and transaction records, disputes, and service improvement. Reporting and allocation records are processed at the customer organization’s direction; SimpleRaise does not use those records to determine the legal ownership, tax treatment, or permitted use of fundraising proceeds. We do not independently market third-party products to students.
4. How we disclose information
We disclose information as needed to customer organizations, authorized administrators, participants, vendors fulfilling orders, Stripe and financial partners, CutTime when authorized, hosting and storage providers, email/SMS delivery providers, analytics and monitoring services, fraud and security providers, customer-support tools, professional advisers, authorities when legally required, and parties to a business transaction.
We do not sell personal information for money or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Service-provider disclosures are limited to operating, securing, supporting, and improving SimpleRaise under appropriate obligations.
5. Students, participants, and minors
Organizations may provide information about minors. The organization and its director or administrator are responsible for having legal authority and any required school, parent, or guardian permission before providing that information, inviting a minor, or directing communications. SimpleRaise does not verify age or collect parental consent. SimpleRaise may receive limited student, roster, and other education-related information. A school-specific data-protection agreement applies only when separately signed.
6. Cookies and analytics
We use necessary cookies and limited analytics, support, and monitoring technologies to operate, secure, troubleshoot, understand, and improve the service. Providers may include Mixpanel, HubSpot, Help Scout, and AppSignal. The app does not currently promise a control panel for every cookie category. Contact us to exercise an opt-out right that applies under law.
7. Communications
We may send account, security, verification, receipt, order, fundraiser, supporter-activity, service, and product-use messages. Organizations may direct invitations and fundraiser communications. SMS use is further described in the SMS Terms. We do not use these service messages to advertise unrelated third-party products to students.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and service. No system is completely secure. If a qualifying breach occurs, we will investigate, take reasonable corrective action, and provide notices when and as required by law.
9. Retention
We retain information while reasonably needed for the service and for tax, transaction, payout, dispute, fraud-prevention, security, backup, and legal-compliance purposes. After that, we delete or de-identify it where reasonably possible. Vendor use of purchaser data is subject to the Vendor Terms’ 90-day deletion rule after operational and legal needs end.
10. Privacy choices and requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, or to opt out of certain uses. Email support@simpleraise.com. We may verify identity and authority before acting. We generally respond to verified requests within 30 calendar days. We may take additional time when law permits—for example, for complex or numerous requests or additional verification—and will explain the delay.
Deletion is not absolute. We may retain information required for taxes, transactions, fraud prevention, disputes, security, legal compliance, or to establish and defend legal claims. If an organization controls the requested information, we may refer the request to that organization or work with it.
11. International supporters
Information may be processed in the United States. Supporters outside the United States who use a U.S.-based fundraiser understand that their information may be transferred to and handled in the United States, subject to applicable law. SimpleRaise does not currently offer international organization accounts.
12. Changes
We may update this Policy prospectively. We will post the updated version and, for material changes, may email account holders or provide another appropriate notice. The effective date appears at the top.
13. Other parties
Fundraiser organizations, vendors, Stripe, CutTime, and linked sites may handle information under their own policies. SimpleRaise is responsible for its own practices, not independent practices outside its control.
