SMS Terms of Service
Effective: August 28, 2026 | Last updated: August 28, 2026
These SMS Terms explain the agreement between Cut Time, LLC, doing business as SimpleRaise ("SimpleRaise," "we," or "us") and a person who receives text messages connected with SimpleRaise. We wrote them in plain English, but they are still a legal agreement.
1. What messages the app sends
SimpleRaise uses Courier to manage messaging templates and orchestrate notifications, and Twilio to deliver text messages associated with invitations, phone verification, participant and fundraiser activity, supporter activity, reminders, service updates, and guidance for using the product. Organizations may initiate or direct some fundraiser messages.
2. Phone numbers supplied by organizations
An organization and its administrator are responsible for having legal authority and any required consent before uploading, importing, or entering a phone number and before directing a message to that number. This includes numbers entered manually, uploaded by CSV, or received through an authorized CutTime integration.
3. Minors
The organization is responsible for any legally required school, parent, or guardian permission before providing a minor’s number or directing texts to a minor. SimpleRaise does not currently verify age or collect parental consent.
4. Frequency and charges
Message frequency varies based on account, fundraiser, participant, supporter, and order activity. Your mobile carrier’s message, data, roaming, or other charges may apply. Carrier delivery is not guaranteed.
5. No third-party advertising to students
Messages may help a participant use SimpleRaise or report activity. SimpleRaise does not use these messages to market unrelated third-party products to students.
6. Managing messages
If you receive an unwanted or incorrect message, contact support so the issue can be investigated. We will describe additional message-management options here only after they are available and verified.
7. Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains how SimpleRaise handles phone numbers, message records, provider data, and privacy requests. Courier and Twilio may process phone numbers, message content, delivery records, and related message data to provide these services under their respective privacy terms.
8. Changes
We may update these SMS Terms prospectively to reflect verified messaging practices, provider requirements, or law. We will not describe a feature as available until it is verified.
9. Help
